Cloud Vendor Sustainability

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations continue to be a key focus for many technology companies and given how hungry compute workloads draw on energy resources, it's encouraging to see the industry's increasing commitment to going green. However, understanding the depth and impact of various solutions and capabilities being adopted across the sector can be challenging.

At Kaizen Blue, we're addressing this challenge by developing solutions that assist our customers in enhancing their ESG practices, with a special focus on the often-neglected backend infrastructure. Our commitment has led us to conduct extensive research on three major cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Amazon Web Services.

Today I’d like to share some insights from this research, and I've distilled some of the standout data into an easily digestible infographic. Sourced throughout 2023, this information, while not exhaustive, offers a comparative glimpse into how these leading cloud vendors stack up in their ESG efforts.

For those interested in a deeper analysis, the full report is available for download by submitting the form request below. It includes a comprehensive list of 'green' data centers from each vendor and a detailed breakdown of our primary research topics.

I hope you find this a useful share and that it might bring environmental considerations to forethought when it comes to adopting and deploying cloud infrastructure for your own systems.

Oh, click on the infographic for the full scrollable image or you can also download a dark themed version of it here.
